Just heard about this program from Security Now podcast #564. Since both download links were dead the co-host mirrored the version [1] from Snapfiles.com on his own site for people to download.Should I change the download link to this or the Softpedia.com link above? Unfortunately, this app doesn't seem to collect the security catalog files (.cat) for all drivers. This causes Windows not to recognize driver signatures, making them difficult to install automatically.It can be difficult to identify the correct security catalog for a particular driver since Windows typically renames all of the core driver files to OEM*.* during instalation, while the inf file still references the catalog by its original name; however, the catalog can often be discovered by locating the proper registry keys - this tool doesn't seem to look there.

I don't see what you mean by "offers you the chance to update to the latest version". This implied to me that it offers the ability to update the drivers, but I don't see that, or the ability to update to the latest version of the application.

There's an option on the Tools menu to build a portable version of Double Driver. Just select a folder on your USB stick and it will copy the files over to a new folder called Double Driver Portable.This is a great, great app. There is no easier way to back up your drivers.

This thread is for those who have installed Windows by another means, have managed to lose a driver, or those who wish to return everything to stock settings and not have to re-install Windows to do so.

They sent me a link to download 4 rar, for make a usb WINPE. they sent me a pdf where they explained the procedure. I created the USB, and started the USB from the bios. it did an installation, re-instating everything, deleting everything. Once this was done, windows opened, did the various tests, once restarted it was ready to be reconfigured. Obviously all data has been deleted. Now the tablet is perfect, and I can work both in the office and outside.
